Customer Solutions Architect

Role Definition

Reporting to the Head of Technical Solutions, this role will lead and work alongside the Sales and Project teams to design, develop and deliver technical solutions for opportunities presented to them. In addition, the role will be responsible for developing cross selling opportunities.  The Customer Solutions Architect will capture all relevant business requirements from the client and will create a high-level design that will form the basis of the solution.  The role will also assist in establishing and maintaining key customer relationships.

The Customer Solutions Architect will have a wide-ranging knowledge base across the technology stack including but not limited to virtualization, cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS), Storage and Networking (LAN and WAN).


Key areas of Responsibilities

  • Answering technical inquiries received.
  • Provide pre-sales support to internal and external sales personnel.
  • Identify cross selling opportunities.
  • Be pro-active in investigation of possible cross selling opportunities.
  • Visiting existing/potential customers with the relevant sales person.
  • Creation of Solution Design Documents, solution pricing and Statement of Works.
  • Competitive analysis. Compare and advise on products operating in the company arena.
  • Participating in the collection of Customer Specific Data in order to validate the solution accuracy, costing and assumptions.
  • Supporting the solution proposal presentations at customer locations and/or internal offices. Prepare the relevant part of presentation material related with the services, architecture and technology aspects of the solution.
  • Achieve a position of trusted technical advisor with clients.

Provide professional services to the client.



  • Scoping, design and delivery of Hybrid, Public and Private Cloud solutions utilising Azure, AWS, Hyper-V and VMWare
  • Scoping, design and delivery of Data Centre Infrastructures
  • Scoping, design and delivery of storage infrastructure. EMC, 3 PAR, HPE, Dell, NetApp.
  • Strong commercial understanding
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written presentation skills.
  • 5+ years in designing Transformational IT Solutions
  • Knowledge and experience of a structured sales process
  • Experience in the development of cross functional relationships with both internal teams and external clients
  • Ability to communicate complex technical designs and solutions to a non-technical and CxO audiences.
  • Ability to drive results working with various departments both internally and externally

Ability to adapt to the changing environment and deliver solutions that drive service excellence
