Field IT Co-Ordinator

The Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Operations Delivery team, for a full time Field IT Coordinator. The Field IT Coordinator will be responsible for organising various projects, working directly with our customers and internal departments, to assist with the delivery of a project migration on an Engineer level, to an agreed plan/timescale. The position is ideally suited to someone with a technical background using their experiences gained in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making use of your knowledge of project planning methodologies such as critical path planning.
  • Install, and patch servers, switches, routers, and storage systems.
  • Auditing the customer’s existing environment producing extensive Audit reports.
  • Pre-cabling new Data Centre environments.
  • Conducting customer site surveys, providing pre-sales information including recommendations and highlighting risks.
  • Assisting the projects team with scoping and planning to ensure delivery success.
  • Maintaining good communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Client liaison including meetings, Teams, and conference calls.

Skills and experience needed for Field IT Co-Ordinator
This position has a real mix of project coordination and physical engineering responsibilities, so the successful applicant must be prepared to be on site, in the field, assisting Engineers to deliver to project professionally.

  • Server Installations experience
  • Network cabling Cat5/Cat6 essential
  • Structured cabling desirable
  • Advance Microsoft skills
  • Experience of dealing with Client meetings, Teams/conference calls.
  • Good trouble shooting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and professionalism at all levels.
  • Good communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Able to work collaboratively.
  • Clean driving license.

Salary:
£32,000 – £36,000 gross per annum dependant on relevant experience + paid overtime

Benefits:
22 days basic holiday (increasing to a maximum of 25 days)

Private healthcare after 1 years’ service.

Working Hours:
45 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Saturday

Location:
The Engineer will be expected to regularly travel with work, but our head office is in Croydon (CR0 4WD). You will be expected to attend the office frequently.
