Lead Network Field Engineer

Salary: £45-50k dependant on experience

Work Hours: 08:30 – 17:30, Monday to Friday

Rewards: 22 days Holiday (Increasing to a maximum of 25 days). Company Pension scheme, Private healthcare after 1 year of service.

This is an exciting and challenging role to complement and grow our highly successful UK based team. You will engage will all areas of our Technimove family. From supporting our Pre-Sales in project scoping, planning with Project Managers through to Operations in delivering the service to our clients.

You will be the main contact for clients for our networking service offering, giving you the opportunity to utilise your network and security knowledge to assist clients with a wide variety of datacentre implementations both large and small

A key part of this role will be the training and mentoring of engineers, who would make up the networking team.

Knowledge of a variety of datacentre infrastructure & cloud services would also be an advantage. Experience with working on a variety of both wired and wireless solutions with knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, HP, DELL and other vendors is essential to be successful.

The role will allow you to shape and grow with the company over time and further to career and goals.

Ideally, you will have over 10 years’ experience in designing, implementing, and supporting the delivery a variety of network solutions to clients. Related data centre / infrastructure experience will also be considered. Networking Certification is required.

  • Proven hands-on network and security experience CCNP or equivalent, higher understanding of networking protocols (e.g., GRE, IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS)
  • Hands on experience with Configuring and installing various network devices and services including; routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, GRE, QoS
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network and security diagnostic and network analytics tools
  • Excellent customer service and Communication skills and documentation.
  • Flexible working, self-motivated with the drive and determination to succeed.
  • Proven experience working and delivering networking solutions to clients in the field.
  • Full UK drivers’ licence
