The Role:

There is a vacancy for an experienced data and fibre optics Data Cabling Engineer within our Network Structured Cabling division. As a team-lead you will be expected to manage both the agreed works and the team from the outset until completion. You will possess all the needs to complete projects on a timely basis, reporting back regularly to Project Managers on progress of the job in hand.


  • Take on a senior lead role on projects and encourage the development of the team.
  • Supporting a comprehensive team of operational staff to manage the logistics of all projects.

Key Skills:

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate they have gained experience in following areas:

  • Previous data cabling experience is essential.
  • Installation of Cat 5e, Cat 6 and Cat 6A system to manufactures warranty standards, ideally gained in large commercial or data centre environments.
  • Installation of fibre, terminations including polishing, fusion splicing and fault finding will be a definite advantage.
  • A knowledge of security systems and power would be a benefit as several of our projects incorporate many varied solutions to our clients.
  • Successful candidate must have high cabling standards.
  • Experience of following practices and design layout.

Full Driving Licence is essential and willingness to travel for work is needed.

£30,000- £40,000 gross per annum + paid overtime.


  •  22 days basic holiday (increasing to a maximum of 25 days)

Working Hours:
45 hours per week over 5 days, Monday to Saturday

The Engineer will be expected to regularly travel with work, but our head office is in Croydon (CR0 4WD). You will be expected to attend the office frequently.
