- Cable run length optimisation, including small form-factor pluggable (SFP) module guidance
Too often, clients come to us having been misadvised on something as seemingly simple as cable lengths or SFP modules – issues that, if left unchecked, can significantly delay the delivery of engineering services. Getting these details right from day one is where we add immediate value.
Structured Cabling for the AI Era
Structured cabling services aren’t new to us – we’ve been delivering them for years. But the data centre landscape is evolving fast and nowhere is that more apparent than within advanced GPU and AI deployments.
Modern AI infrastructure increasingly relies on spine-and-leaf network architectures, which demand very long Multi-fiber Push-On (MPO) fibre runs. We’ve developed deep expertise in this space, whether that’s adding back-end power management to an existing AI GPU cluster, or delivering a complete net-new spine deployment.
Working with trusted cabling vendors like Corning we offer:
- Pre-wired loom creation and colour coding for easy identification
- Additional fibre runs built in for future expansion
- Waterfall installation, cable trays, and all the physical infrastructure the data centre requires
- Inter-rack patching, backed by video documentation and case reference ability

Our certified engineers handle everything from configuration through to complex migrations, and because we work heavily in the financial sector, many hold SC clearance which is a prerequisite for working in some of the UK’s most sensitive data centre environments.
Handling the Most Complex GPU Deployments
One of our most demanding and exciting areas of growth is GPU infrastructure deployment. We have direct case reference ability building NVL72 racks one of the most complex and costly environments in NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture. (Each of these racks weighs 1.4 tonnes and carries a price tag of around $3.5 million USD.)
GPUs are not designed for extensive road travel. That’s why we build these racks on-site for customers, managing the end-to-end logistics and assembly within the white space itself. This reduces risk, protects the investment, and ensures the systems go live correctly the first time.
Rack, Stack, Configure, Test and Hold
Beyond large-scale GPU deployments, Technimove offers a full rack-and-stack and deployment configuration service from our facility in Croydon. Here we:
- Pre-rack and pre-stack equipment before it reaches the data centre floor
- Configure systems and validate BIOS/firmware to your exact standards
- Carry out soak testing to ensure reliability before deployment
- Perform hard drive and memory swap-outs within storage arrays
We also offer call-out logistics a service that has become particularly relevant given recent market shortages of CPUs, memory, and storage. Technimove can hold and allocate these components on your behalf, dispatching them when required and always adhering to vendor best practices.
